About the Event

Join UCRJ's Isis Rose for a Friday Forum led discussion, Birth Justice in Illinois: Maternal Mortality and Midwifery Integration.

Isis Rose is a student midwife, doula, CLC, and anthropologist. After researching birth justice in grad school and planning home births, Isis became a passionate supporter of midwifery and out-of-hospital-birth. She currently studies at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery with plans to become a licensed, certified professional midwife. You can also hear her on the Homecoming Podcast, which discovers Black homebirth stories in the context of the national crisis in maternal and infant health.

Y Friday Forum provides free lunch!
