EDUCATE! "Reproductive rights" is a term used all the time in reference to the legal aspects of things such as access to abortion and gender-affirming care. So what does it mean to swap out "rights" for "justice?" Reproductive justice is a term that was was created by a group of Black women in 1994, with the intent of centering the experience of marginalized and trans* people, and bridging the gap between rights movements and other social justice movements. The reproductive justice movement envisions the liberation of people of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, gender identities, ages, classes, and cultural and racial identities.

Join Julie Laut, Phd, Samantha Auerbach, MSN, WHNP-BC, ANP-C, a sexual and reproductive health Nurse Practitioner and PhD student in Nursing, and other local reproductive justice allies for a casual, interactive conversation to learn more about the reproductive justice framework.
