About the Event
Join us for a rally outside our community courthouse with speeches from community members and local queer youth! This event was inspired by a nationwide movement with Queer Youth Assemble (QYA). We originally planned to host a rally on Trans Day of Visibility (Mar 31st) that would have lined up with the national movement, but we sadly had to reschedule due to severe weather that made it unsafe for us to produce an event. We have rescheduled, and this program is still based on QYA values and goals.
QYA strives to center queer & trans voices in the fight for youth 25 and below to have opportunities for autonomy, joy, safety, empowerment, and the chance to reach their fullest potential. QYA also prioritizes centering BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled voices in the LGBTQ+ community.
