About the Event

In the meeting of the City of Danville’s Public Services Committee last Tuesday, an ordinance that is designed to ban abortion methods in Danville was approved and sent to the City Council for approval. The next meeting of Danville’s City Council will be next Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, at 6 pm. Advocates for reproductive justice are asking interested folks to pack the meeting.

Public comments are allowed. These commentators must sign  in just prior to the meeting at the location. And comments must be no  longer than 3 minutes.

Comments might focus on:

• the importance of self-determined individual choice of health care decisions,

• the morality for freedom of thought among those with differing beliefs on the timing of prenatal and pre-viability life  existence,

• the uncertainty of legalities at the federal versus state level at this time,

• the need for all options care for women of Danville, Vermilion County, and the surrounding areas.

Letters to the Mayor of Danville, editors, press releases, etc., would also be appreciated:
